In 2018, Sudha Kongara stated that she will collaborate with Suriya for the director’s next film, which is tentatively called Suriya 38. The film will be produced by Suriya’s producer 2D Entertainment, with Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment co-producing. G. V. Prakash Kumar was selected to work on the film’s music, collaborating for the first time with director Sudha and actor Suriya. Niketh Bommireddy manages the cinematography of the film. Meanwhile, Sathish Suriya, who worked on director Irudhi Suttru and Guru, was assigned as a film editor and Jacki will take over as art director for the film.
Film production began with main photography on April 7, 2019. On April 13, 2019, the title was revealed as Soorarai Pottru. After months of filming, the film was successfully completed in September 2019.
Suriya spent around Rs 47 lakhs per day to rent a plane. The team shot almost a couple of weeks inside the plane, which in fact increased the film’s budget.
The Telugu version of Soorarai Pottru is named Akasasam Ni Hudhu Ra, which will be published on the same date. The creators of the film have also announced that the film will be dubbed in Kannada.
As part of the film’s promotional strategy, the production company announced that they will collaborate with SpiceJet as their official partner. SpiceJet President Ajay Singh released his company’s Boeing 737 aircraft with a movie poster on February 13, 2020, the same day the second single for the movie was released on the Boeing 737 aircraft of the company mid-flight. This will be the third time that a passenger jet has been wrapped to advertise an Indian film after AirAsia India did it for Kabali in 2016 and SpiceJet for Darbar in 2020.
Soorarai Pottru Movie Release Date
The movie title poster was unveiled on April 13, 2019. The first-look poster was released on November 10, 2019. The official trailer released on January 7, 2020. The film was slated to be released. on April 9, 2020, but was postponed due to COVID-19. The film is now expected to hit the screens in August 2020.
The music and score will be (# Soorarai Pottru ) composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, working with Suriya for the first time. Yugavarati, Vivek, Arunaraj Kamraj, Yogi B, Ekadasi, Maya Mahalingam and Arivu have written the songs of the Tamil version.
The first song, a song titled “Maara Theme”, was released on January 24, 2020. The song, sung by Suriya, marks her third period as a singer after singing for a song in Anjaan 2014 and has not yet been released. Party.
