Major prep work is underway for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role as Lord Ram. Sources tell IndiaToday.in that the Dangal director is leaving no stone unturned to make sure there is ample homework being done before the film goes on the floor.
We have learnt that Tiwari has created a separate team for the diction and dialogue department of Ramayana. Apart from diction, there is also a special emphasis on the costume of the film and how the main characters in the movie will look. Sources reveal that Tiwari has put Ranbir Kapoor on to a diction expert, who will make sure the dialogue delivery of his character is in alignment with the vision of the film.
Ranbir is geared to play the role of a lifetime and has been spending hours reading dialogues and sending videos to Tiwari. Sources add that the mounting of the film is on a massive scale and the VFX and special effects will be on an international level.
Our source reveals, “Ranbir has a certain baritone and a way of speaking his lines. It is symbolic and if you have even closed your eyes, you can recognise a dialogue purely based on Ranbir’s voice. In Ramayana, Nitesh wants to make sure Ranbir sounds different from the characters he’s played in the past. Being a versatile actor, Ranbir is enjoying this process of trying something new.”
Ranbir Kapoor To Kickstart Shoot For Ramayana With Mumbai Schedule
According to The Times of India, Ranbir Kapoor will be going on the floor soon. The shooting of the Nitesh Tiwari directorial will extensively take place in Mumbai. The source further stated that Ranbir will be shooting for around 60 days in the financial capital followed by a schedule in London. Ramayana’s Lanka portions will be shot in London again for approximately 60 days. Ranbir will be joined by actor Yash in this schedule.
Reportedly, Ranbir has willingly given up on alcohol, non-vegetarian food as well as late-night parties. This is to honor and prepare for the role of Lord Ram.
Ramayana stars Ranbir and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles of Ram and Sita. There is also speculation that South actor Yash has been roped in to play the role of Ravana. Lara Dutta will be seen as Kaikeyi and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.
