MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — CBS 58’s news team was honored to win two Emmy awards over the weekend from the Chicago/Midwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
CBS 58’s Chief Photographer Jerry Imig received an Emmy in Outstanding Crafts and Achievement for Photography.
CBS 58’s Reporter Mike Curkov, along with photojournalists Cody Bergquist, Kevin Weis, and producers Susanne Barthel and Randy Engel, won an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement for News Gathering- Arts/Entertainment News.
Their winning story was “Why we’re using subtitles more often while watching and streaming TV shows and movies.” That story can be found here.
Telemundo affiliate, WYTU-LD, also owned by Weigel Broadcasting, was awarded an Emmy for promotions they created for Hispanic Heritage Month.
CBS 58 was nominated for 13 Emmy awards, more than any other Milwaukee station.
