The Notebook is arguably one of – if not the best Hollywood romance films of all time.
Released almost 20 years ago, it starred Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as fated lovers Noah and Allie.
But after recent rumours Gosling’s former Mickey Mouse Club co-star Britney Spears was considered for the role at the time – her audition tape has surfaced.
The pop star, just 21 at the time, reads lines from the script and even manages to muster up some genuine tears during the emotional scene.

In other entertainment news, hit Netflix thriller series Squid Game has been turned into a reality show, offering contestants an impressive $4.5 million if they make it to the end.
Just like the fictional series, 456 people are competing for the major money prize and are eliminated through challenges inspired by the show.
Squid Game: The Challenge streams on Netflix November 22.
And we know Aussie award-winning actress Cate Blanchett for her compelling dramas.
But after making a name for herself in the pop scene with a recent appearance in LA band Sparks’ music video for The Girl is Crying in her Latte, brothers Ron and Russell caught up with Blanchett for some advice ahead of their Aussie tour.
Blanchett warned them about magpie swooping season and even suggested they wear bike helmets while outdoors to protect themselves.
She even had a unique reason on why the brothers should sport shorts instead of longer pants while Down Under.
Check out her advice in the video above.
