Bad Boy For Life is an American police action comedy directed by Bilal Falah and Adil El Arabi, produced by Will Smith, Jerry Bruckheimer and Doug Belgrade, and starring Martin Lawrence and Smith. The sequel to Bad Boys (1995) and Bad Boys II (2003) and the third installment of the Bad Boys trilogy, the film follows Detectives Lowrey and Burnett’s meeting once again when a Romanian mafia boss takes revenge on the duo as they are about. to officially retire.
The third Bad Boys movie was discussed after the success of the second, with original director Michael Bay saying he was eager to return, but budget constraints would make it more difficult. The film attempted several developments over the next decade, with several writers and directors attached. Finally, in October 2018, the project was officially announced and the filming took place from January to June 2019 in Atlanta and Miami.
Bad Boys for Life is scheduled to be released in theaters in the United States on January 17, 2020, by Columbia Pictures.
