After Pasoori in Satyaprem Ki Katha, one more remix of Pakistani track, Ali Zafar’s chartbuster track ‘Jhoom’ is here. This time in Vidyut Jammwal’s upcoming Crakk.
For the unversed, the original Jhoom, penned and performed by Zafar, became a global sensation, capturing hearts with its infectious melody and vibrant energy.
‘Dil Jhoom’ first song from Crakk out now
The makers of the upcoming action thriller film ‘Crakk’ have released the first song of the film, titled ‘Dil Jhoom’, featuring Vidyut Jammwal and Nora Fatehi. The song is a recreated version of Pakistani singer Ali Zafar’s hit track ‘Jhoom’, which was released in 2011.
The original song ‘Jhoom’ was a romantic ballad, sung and composed by Ali Zafar, and had a sufi touch to it. The song was well-received by the listeners and critics, and won several awards, including the Best Album and Best Song at the Lux Style Awards in 2012.
The remake ‘Dil Jhoom’ is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Mishra. The song features Vidyut and Nora in a romantic setting. The song is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi and the lyrics are penned down by Ali Zafar and Gurpreet Saini.
Pasoori Remix In Satyaprem Ki Katha Received Criticism
Pasoori was the most-Googled song of 2022. Sung by Pakistani singer Ali Sethi and Shae Gill, and was released in the eleventh season of Pakistan’s Coke Studio. Soon after its release, the song became an international sensation, and was trending on every social media platform.
However, fans of the singer and song were simply not happy with the fact that a remake of the beloved song was part of Satyaprem Ki Katha.
Pakistani fans bashed Bollywood for even considering to remake the song. Social media was flooded by angry fans who want to stop this alleged abomination from happening and ‘save Pasoori from Bollywood’.
Song didn’t do any wonder for the film as it received more hate than appreciation. Let’s see how is the reception of Jhoom in Crakk.
Directed by Aditya Datt and produced by Action Hero Films, Crakk boasts an impressive cast. Action hero Vidyut Jammwal leads the charge, joined by Nora Fatehi, Arjun Rampal, and Amy Jackson. The film’s music, helmed by T-Series banner, promises to be a chart-topping affair. It is slated to release on February 23, 2024.
The story revolves around a Mumbai-based slum dweller who embarks on a journey into the dangerous world of underground sports, where only victory can promise the participants’ survival.
The music of the film is composed by Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi & Vikram Montrose while lyrics are penned by Manoj Muntashir & Shekhar Astitwa.
Film is slated to clash with Karan Johar’s Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri starrer Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam.
